課程概述

This single-semester course represents an attempt to familiarize students with the strategies that enhance oral communication effectiveness in business contexts, engage them in an array of communicative activities that aim to simulate real-life business events, and supply them with hands-on opportunities to put into practice the techniques for making compelling business presentations and handling audience questions both individually and as a team. Additionally, it purports to foster an environment favorable for the development of team building skills including communication, active listening, problem solving, feedback offering, and so forth. Moreover, it also takes as one of its key objectives to introduce students to the English expressions and sentence patterns commonly associated with the field of business to further help them achieve desired communication outcomes. 

課程目標
Four objectives are established for this semester-long course. Upon completion of this course, students can expect to be able to
1. apply oral communication strategies in response to different business contexts,
2. design and deliver business presentations with confidence, clarity, and impact,
3. develop the oral skills essential for team building, and
4. identify and incorporate into their discourse the English expressions and sentence patterns closely related to the field of business. 
課程要求
Each unauthorized absence will result in a 50% deduction from attendance and participation. Missing 4 weeks of classes (authorized and unauthorized combined) will lead to a failing grade for this course.
